Tom Hausman Atlanta Braves 1982
Tom Hausman was a bottom-of-the-staff reliever who spent several seasons with the then-forlorn Mets in the late 70s and early 80s. Late in the '82 season the Mets traded Tom to the Braves for lefty reliever Carlos Diaz. Hausman pitched just 3 and 2/3 innings for the Braves (0-0, 0 saves, 4.91) but at least he was able to close out his big league career on a division winning club. Topps had Tom in its '83 set as a Brave, but the image was very clearly an airbrush job. Here is a genuine photo of Tom as a Brave, the only such I have seen so far. It comes from the Fritsch postcard collection on ebay.
