I'm with the Anaheim Ducks and the objective is Rebuilding. My general idea in the first year is to get the team younger with trading older players for younger ones whose potential is better than the older player. If needed I am willing to add low round draft pick.
The owner is seemed to be discontent after I did one such trade, and it seems he is angry again. He is happy with the team record, but discontent with my work as a GM (ok, I signed 1 star Devante Smith-Pelly purely because of nostalgia for 1 year, but I don't think this validates his anger). Is there any clear indication in the game why is the owner unhappy?
Thank you in advance!

Fan Happiness can tell you some, but even if the owner tells you to rebuild, it doesn't mean they want to lose every game. If you're also trading away a lot of longtime, well liked veterans, that may be causing issues too.
You need to lose, but you need to make sure you win some too. It's a confusing thing for sure, but so is it in the real NHL.
