I think all of this has been said before but allow me to echo, and most of these are concerning custom universes:
1) Fix the playoffs so that the games get staggered properly, not all games on one day and everyone having an off day the next etc.
2) Allow created leagues to be designated as generic leagues so that they don't have to have full rosters or be fully interactable etc. Would allow you to build a reasonably deep universe without having to worry about the Singaporean leagues being fully stocked, and would probably alleviate performance too.
3) Allow structures for college leagues, even if they're not playable yet. Or failing that, allow leagues to have more rules concerning age/eligibility so you can approximate a league for college players.
4) Custom international tournaments would be nice, even if one can't edit the current IIHF system just yet.
5) Perhaps the most longshot wish: Some kind of pregame data editor.
