September 17-18, 2047: at LA Dodgers (2)
Game 1: The Rays came back from 4-1 to edge LA 5-4 in 12 innings in the opener of a 2-game set at Dodger Stadium. Nelson Bocardo's sac fly scored Chris Parham with the winner, after Jose Castillo's 2-run HR (#28) in the 6th and Doug Johns' RBI single in the 7th brought them back. Melvin Delgado had one bad inning and finished 7 7 4 4 0 3 with a couple of homers allowed while Willie Minier (3-3) picked up the win with 3 innings of scoreless relief on only 28 pitches.
Game 2: Tampa Bay came back from 4-1 down again and took a 6-4 lead into the 7th, but today they were they team that lost it late as the Dodgers put 3 on the board in the bottom of the 7th to take a 7-6 win. Gordie Ager started and was his usual struggling self (6 9 5 5 0 5) and Dan Anderson (4-4) couldn't get anyone out in the 7th and was charged with the tying and losing runs. Earlier they fought back on Alex Duran's 2-run shot (#15) and Dave Frick's 2-run double which put them ahead.
Team record: 107-45. Next up: An off-day then we return home for a 4-game Friday-Monday series with Boston.
