CHAMPIONS!!
They did it! In their 27th season of existence (only 23 years after expansion mate Arizona) the Rays are World Champions! It turned out to be a surprisingly easy finale for Tampa Bay as they put 5 on the board in the 2nd and Drew Rasmussen pitched one of the best games of his career to propel them to another comfortable win. Zach DeLoach had the big hit, a 2-run double to put them on top and they kept hitting after that. The cherry on top was a 2-run Curtis Mead homer, and the second-year man unsurprisingly was named Series MVP for his 4-homer performance. The Phillies did get likely NL MVP Bryce Harper back for this game but it didn't matter as Rasmussen was sharp in a complete 180 from his Game 2 start. Now the only question is where to hold the celebrations: a boat parade in Tampa like the Bucs and Lightning or a parade down Central Avenue in St. Pete?
