One problem is that the schedule generator doesn't currently take team locations in to account, so it's happy to schedule a game in New York, then one in LA the next day, then back to Boston a couple of days later. I'd imagine that it's complicated enough just generating the schedule correctly, without incorporating a sensible travel schedule for every team as well.
