Thanks for the tip, I didnt even realise that was a thing and my setting was just left on the default which was 2D for my games and classic for the rest. So I've switched it all to 2D now and will see how it sims.
I've never even heard this mentioned before when this issue has come up, so I'll be sure to let people know next time someone mentions it! (Providing it does 'fix' this issue)
Will it be a slower sim speed with all games being simmed 2D style?
Edit - Yes, it does seem to make the sim slower, since writing this message I was able to sim through October, that's it!
