Game 1: 0-6 L. LP-McClanahan (1-1, 5.1 7 4 4 0 4). Rays were dominated by Jacob deGrom who pitched a 5-hit complete-game shutout. Mac hung in there until giving up 3 in the 6th.
Game 2: 1-5 L. LP-Swanda (2-2, 5 4 2 2 2 6). HR-J.Lowe (5). It was Gerrit Cole's turn to shackle the offense today, although they had their chances early against him but couldn't score and he settled in to whiff 10 over 8 innings.
Game 3: 4-2 W. WP-Gau (2-1). S-Fairbanks (4). Starter-Patino (5 4 1 1 3 5). HR-Tucker (6). After Chris Gau blew a 2-1 lead in the 6th, Kyle Tucker's 2-run shot in the bottom of the inning won it, and Curtis Mead added a 2-run double.
Team record: 16-7. Next up: An off-day then 3 in Toronto, currently in second 3 1/2 games back.
