It must be hard to program for two-way players. I had a fictional league with a team that had a guy who was an outfielder and was also their best option for a closer. There were situations when he was in center field and was scheduled to bat seventh or something like that in the bottom of the eighth, and in real life they could easily have warmed him up while his teammates batted. It's a thing you see sometimes in college softball and I don't think it's illegal in baseball. But you apparently couldn't do that in the game, and in practice he almost never pitched. (Yeah, I know AI teams don't use the warmup rule, but what I'm saying is it would not have always been unrealistic for this guy to start in the outfield and then close.)
