Well, we really shouldn't go further back than 1958 because before then, New York had
three major league baseball teams. For example, add the 85 wins of the 1943 New York Giants to your total, equaling 292! Ah, those were the days in New York! (Unfortunately and fortunately, I'm too young to remember them.
