If I'm not mistaken, the Mets have a good chunk of players on options (mix of club, player, and mutual). Also, I haven't checked the recent minor league depth charts, but last time I looked (mid-Summer), the Mets have a lot of outfield prospects that could make a splash in the near future. There's even talk of moving Baty to left field because Vientos is too slow for the outfield.
