The Alamos let the Rays off the mat in the 9th inning of Game 5, and now they're going to have to play a pressure-packed Game 7 as Joe Marlette and Tampa Bay took a tidy 5-1 win in Game 6 to even up the series. Marlette was stingy once again, allowing only an unearned run in 7 innings and a 3-run rally in the 3rd highlighted by a 2-run Kelly Crumpton double was all the offense the Rays would need. Now midseason acquisition Johnny Kuykendall will get the ball tomorrow for one game to decide a spot in the World Series.
