I have played a lot with the 1952 A’s (long story - don’t ask), and Joost is a solid player, good power, good eye, excellent glove at SS. Not fast, so somewhat of a quandary where he fits in the lineup. I started with him batting third, on a relatively weak-hitting team, trying to take advantage of the OBP. Between Ferris Fain and Gus Zernial. But he ended up batting fifth or sixth. Unfortunately, he was both a late bloomer and then rapid decline with age - so only a few prime years. Still, in 1952 there were only a few SS who could/would hit 20 HR with potentially 80 RS and 80 RBI. Your lineup is solid. He bat seventh or eighth.
