In my current universe I not only have the best goalie in the league, but he's the best player period. Despite this, in my past season the AI coach started the backup for 2/3s of the regular season games and the playoffs from which we were of course eliminated early. I hope this gets fixed and the GM can have
some say over which goalie starts the bulk of the games.
