Hmm, there is a member of a multi-generational family on this team (not saying if he's the LF), but his dad never played for the Phillies; he was almost entirely an American League player.

(Dad had a brother who got into 3 games for the 1969 Cubs, but that's not what you want, either.)

Years later, we got John Mayberry Jr, who played for the Phils, but Big John didn't. (Astros, Royals, Jays, Yankees, IIRC.) Not aware of any broadcast connection there, either.

So I can't rate any guesses until I can at least guess whom you're guessing. Sorry.

Our Mystery Met got into 126 games in 2011, performing reasonably well. Then in 2012, he couldn't even hit .126 for the Reds, and was finished.
