This is a very exciting changelist overall, but I'm particularly pleased by the fact that the World Championships rosters AI has been adjusted, and that some NA players will now opt out of the tournament.
I'm assuming some major euro players will also decline but that it will be less prevalent depending on the country. I would love to know more about that.
I felt like the international side of the game really needed some improvements somehow as it was pretty unbalanced , in part due to those NHL powerhouse teams winning almost everytime. I lost interest in WC very quickly.
This change is a great step in the right direction and I can't wait to manage international teams again and to see the new dynamics

Yeah, the non-North American countries have a similar mechanic to handle WC declines as Canada/US, but it's not as severe so they'll generally have most of their best players available.
Just looking at the first couple of years in the test I currently have running, Canada did win in 2023 but they didn't dominate (and had Ryan Reaves on the team, among other people), and Sweden won in 2024.
