Odd, it looks like it's only happening if you start as Montreal with the real GM option, it's fine if you start as them without using that option, or as the real GM of other teams. We'll try to figure out what's happening there, but I suspect it has something to do with Montreal being the first team listed in the database, there have been other weird things crop up with them over the years.
In the meantime, you can start with the real GM option off and just enter Gorton's details manually if you want, I've attached a screenshot of his ratings below.
