SAN ALEJO ADVANCES IN IPA PLAYOFFS, MAHASKA IS GONE
One team has qualified for the IPA Final 4, the league championship series... the highly-regarded San Alejo Montaneros dismantled the Mahaska Haymakers in Tycobbian Union first-round action... the Monties disposed of the Haymakers rather quickly four games to one, squeezing out a 6-5 triumph in 12 innings in game 5... the other three postseason series are 3-2 and still up for grabs... Pro Cup favorite Wynnamac has the edge on the Glasco Foxhounds, but they were nicked 2-1 in game 5 and failed to wrap up the series... Stoner slipped by the Valka Blackhawks 4-3 in 10 innings to go up in that series... and Rolling Hills stayed alive with 4-3 victory over the Tuckanarra Tiger Cats... all four of the games were decided by just one run.
