You'd have to start a new game, I would think, because criss-crossing DBs once you've started, might corrupt the file. Also, haven't put it up on my Google Drive yet, because I wasn't sure anybody would want it. Shouldn't take long. I'll post a link, and put it in my sig, when it's there.
Once it is up on my drive, you'll see that it's called stats_modified. You want to extract that folder into the stats folder within your OOTP Baseball 23 folder, and point to it from within the game, at Game Settings > League Settings > Historical > Historical Rookies Settings > Database Path
Probably best to have the folder in there, before you set up a new game. Use the Advanced Settings to tell the game which stats folder you want the players to come from. Pictures below. The reason you want it inside the stats folder is that, if you want to go back to the regular DB, with a different game, you can do so, as you won't have overwritten the original DB. Also, a new patch won't overwrite this modified DB, so it keeps the two DBs separate.
So far, seven seasons in, and it's worked well. Nothing broken, yet...Pics of Fed League Pitcher Frank Allen, and defensive whiz SS Mickey Doolan also below, with their RL Stats.

It's the original DB, with this stuff put in, plus a few corrections I've made to the Master file, for my own use. Player IDs (BB-Ref MLB, and MiLB...MiLB IDs are used for FaceGens these days), birthdates, names as they are on BB-Ref (a lot's changed in the last little bit), and debut dates (important to get birthdates, and debut dates correct, so that the player comes in at the right age). I'll have it up sometime later this afternoon. Thanks for your interest.
