We are in Cincinnati.

The Reds are pitching Mike Scott (10-9, 2.16).

The Giants are going with Bruce Ruffin (10-9, 3.53).

I have gone only 11 for 57, or .193, against Scott.

Still, I am back in my happy place - hitting lead-off.

I kicked off the game by taking a walk.
Stolen base #128.
Then, why wait? Stolen base #129.
I scored on an Alvin Davis groundout.

Giants lead 1-0

The lead was short lived as in the bottom of the 1st, Eric Davis hit a two run homer.

Reds lead 2-1

I came up in the 3rd with one out and Bruce on 1st.
I hit into a fielder's choice, replacing Bruce at 1st.
This time I was thrown out trying to steal.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Will Clark hit a solo homer.

Reds lead 3-1

I handled a Mike Greenwell grounder for the 1st out in the bottom of the 4th.

I came up in the 5th with one out, Mark Lewis on 3rd, and Joel Chimelis on 2nd.
I grounded out to Clark at 1st without moving the runners.

I came up in the 7th with two out and Bruce on 1st. They brought in Mark Guthrie to face me.
I walked.
We were left on.

With two out and one on in the bottom of the 7th, Matt brought in Mark Davis.
I made an error on a Tim McIntosh grounder.
Unacceptable.

In the 8th, Mike Mordecai scored on a Clark single.
Then Clark scored on a Carlos Baerga single.
Nick Capra scored on a wild pitch by Mark.

Reds lead 6-1

It never got better.

I went 0 for 2 with a pair of walks, a run scored, two stolen bases, a caught stealing, and an error.
