The rosters:
Steve Falcon was the only Rays pitcher to be invited, the 8th ASG appearance for the veteran closer. Plenty of representation on the position player side of things, with C Nelson Bocardo (3rd trip), 2B Juan Davila (1st), 2B/SS Yuji Morioka (3rd), 3B Luis Barela (for the 10th straight season), LF Mario Saro (4th), RF Alex Duran (1st) and OF Jon Morales (1st) all going to Minnesota for the game.
Former Rays making the trip include HOU LF Doug Johns, PHI CL Satoshi Sato and STL SS Dave Frick, all of whom were with Tampa Bay as recently as last season.
The HR Derby:
Our guy and current MLB homer leader Jon Morales got the invite and made it to the final round despite pedestrian totals where he lost to Baltimore's Mike Collin.
The game:
A mixed bag for the Rays as our lone pitcher Steve Falcon threw a perfect 8th and Luis Barela had an RBI single while Jon Morales was 1 of 2, but Yuji Morioka played the whole game and struck out all 4 times up, Mario Saro whiffed in both his plate appearances, Juan Davila flew out in a pinch-hitting appearance, Alex Duran started but didn't even get to bat as he was pinch-hit for in the 2nd with the bases loaded and a lefty on the mound, and Nelson Bocardo never even got into the game.
