Does 20 have the historical transactions and lineups feature? If so enable that feature. However that only gives you historical starting lineups and between teams and release transaction. It doesn't give you ups and downs between the majors and minors. The 25 man roster on a date is correct for those who started that game but not necessarily for the bench players.

Anyway, enabling those may give you a head start on the rosters.
