After spending most of the season in the top spot, the Boston Beaneaters' difficult week dropped them in the rankings allowing the Detroit Tigers to take over the #1 spot. The Philadelphia Athletics moved up 3 spots (15th to 12th) for the biggest jump forward, while the Chicago White Sox fell 5 spots (9th to 14th) for the biggest drop on the week.
