Games 69-71: Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Americans
After getting steamrolled by the Tigers in the last series, it was important for Boston to bounce back with a solid series against Chicago. While it be difficult to close the gap for the American League lead, getting 2 of 3 in this series is a step in the right direction.

Noodles Hahn (12-7) went the distance, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 8 to finish with a Game Score of 81. Bill Carrick (5-13) gave up 3 earned runs while allowing 11 hits and 3 walks for a Game Score of 50. Fred Clarke (3 for 5, 1 RBI) and Kid Elberfeld (3 for 4, 2 Doubles, 1 Run, 1 RBI) paced Boston's offense.
