The Nordhagen Beach Party Boys started the Sole Survivor Series in style today, downing the visiting University Point Deathclaws at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium by a score of 11-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Party Boys first baseman Dustin Mart slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 7.
The Party Boys took a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Facing University Point hurler Lennie Landslide with two outs, Mart hit a 3-run home run.
"I like easy wins," Mart told the Nordhagen Beach Gazette. "And easy wins in the playoffs are even better."

Angelou, Party Boys Sink Deathclaws Again in Game 2
A clutch 10th inning gave the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys a walk-off win over the University Point Deathclaws and a 2-0 lead in the Sole Survivor Series at Slocum's Joe Seaside Stadium today. Young right fielder Jonathan Angelou, 23, earned accolades after he was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4.
Nordhagen Beach won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Freedom Williams on the mound for University Point, first baseman Dustin Mart hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Party Boys fans to their feet.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Matt Ballhawk Getman, the Nordhagen Beach manager.
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 30th, 2302, at Gwinnett Brewery Park in University Point.
