Any ideas for how to fix three historical inaccuracies?
Does anyone know a good way to change the following three historical inaccuracies?
--The DH in the World Series from 1973 through 1985: In real life, the DH, which was introduced in the American League for the 1973 regular season, was not used in the World Series until 1976. Beginning in 1976, its use in the Fall Classic alternated by year. It was used in even-numbered years (1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, and 1984) in all World Series games, regardless of the league of the ballpark. In odd-numbered years (1977, 1979, 1981, 1983, and 1985), it was not used at all in the World Series. Only starting in 1986 was the use of the DH in the World Series determined by the rules of the league of that game's home team.
--Home field advantage for the League Championship Series: Starting with the beginning of divisional play in 1969 and running through the 1993 season, home field advantage in the LCS alternated between division winners. It was not based on regular season record. In the American League, the Western Division had home-field advantage in odd-numbered years, while the Eastern Division had home-field advantage in even-numbered years. In the National League, the Eastern Division had home-field advantage in odd-numbered years, while the Western Division had home-field advantage in even-numbered years.
--Format for the best-of-five LCS from 1969 through 1984: In those years, the format of the LCS (which was best-of-five until 1985) was 2-3, NOT 2-2-1. In other words, the team with home field advantage played the first two games on the road.
Are these changes something that can be set up just once at the beginning of a multi-season game covering those years, or must they be set up prior to every season? Is there a way to get word to the developers to fix these inaccuracies? Thanks.
