In game 1, Fregosi hit a 2-out 3-run HR in the 7th to give us a 5-3 win over the Royals.
We trailed 4-0 going into the 8th in game 2, but Rick Rhoden (who they use as a DH when he starts, and they shouldn't) lost the plate and Jim Wynn hit a tie-breaking 3-run double to give us a 5-4 win.
In game 3, we put up 4 in the first thanks to a 3-run HR by Gregory Foreman and swept the Royals from 2nd to 4th in a 7-1 win.
We are now up 3 1/2 on the Twins, 4 1/2 on the A's and 5 1/2 on the Royals.
The Indians are up 2 1/2 on the Yankees in the East, the Cards are 1/2 up on the Cubs and 3 over the Pirates, and the Astros, the team I thought could be a dynasty, are 6 1/2 behind the Giants and in 3rd place. The Dodgers are in 2nd, 3 1/2 games ahead of the Astros despite being 69 runs worse than the Astros.
