Heading into 1976, I really like how flexible I can be with my lineup.

Gary Matthews is an above average OF at every position, Reggie Smith is above average at CF and RF, Gregory Foreman is above average at LF and CF and Jim Wynn is above average at RF. I will rotate these 4 at DH to try to keep them all as fresh as possible.

Gary Matthews
Darrell Evans
Reggie Smith
Jim Wynn
Gregory Foreman
Jim Fregosi
Roy Howell
Bob Allietta
Dave Cash

Along with some vets, Matthews is 25, ROY Gregory Foreman is 24, Bob Allietta is 23 and Roy Howell just 22. We don't need rookies Howell and Allietta to win the ROY like Foreman did last year, but if they are legit bats, we could have a fun offense.

We have the 14th rated rotation which sounds about right to me:

George Dixon 13-3 3.36 ERA 29 yrs old
Larry Gura 13-10 3.67 ERA 28 yrs old
Burt Hooton 15-15 3.26 ERA 26 yrs old
Gerald Lewis 17-8 3.54 ERA 27 yrs old
William Sheets 14-9 3.28 ERA 26 yrs old

Dean Chance 5-2 15 saves 2.6 ERA
John Hiller 2-3 13 saves 2.08 ERA
Jim Burton 11-9 3.06 ERA (As starter for Cubs)

Lots of player movement due to pending free agency, I have no idea how things are going to shake out.

I did sign Dave Cash to a 3 year extension averaging $130,000 a year, a bargain to me. Now I need to work on Evans/Wynn/Smith
