I agree these are really good. And the color scheme, like Eugene said, helps to make them look like metal medals.
I personally like the date discrepancies (like, it's a team that was established in 1988 but claims ancestry with a same-named semi-mythical/semi-pro 1898 team), but this may not have been your intention
