Because it looks like the Americans will not be able to catch up to the Tigers for the American League pennant, I have started looking at some minor trades involving reserve roster players. The first trade sees Boston sending relief pitcher Varney Anderson and a 15th round draft pick to the Brooklyn Superbas in return for relief pitcher Duke Esper and second baseman Bill Stuart.
