The White River Rascals (77-77) ran a good race, clinging near the TU North leaders until they tapered off in July, August and September (34-41)... the Rascals wound up in 6th place, but only 5 games behind... White River has been a solid contender for the last decade with 4 pennants, the last one coming in 2073... 34-year-old ace and All-Star Shorty Meaux is still going strong after 13 years in the IPA... he just doesn't have enough help... the lineup does have a few longballers, led by Babe Coleman, Benny Schlesinger and Olaf Erikson... the Hawks can hit with some power, but still need help on the hill and at the plate.
