The month of August is here and the Boston Americans finished up its series with the Chicago White Sox.


Game 112: The Americans (66-46) jumped out to an early lead and then had to hold on as the White Sox (49-63) made this a much closer game than it should have been in the 11 to 9 victory. Cy Young (15-12) did just enough to pick up the win, tossing 8 2/3 innings while allowing 9 runs (2 earned) on 10 hits while striking out 4 for a Game Score of 46. In a rather surprising move, Noodles Hahn came in for the final batter to earn his first save of the year.
