Game #52 – May 21 – Pittsburgh 6, Philadelphia 5
Masayoshi Oshima hit 2 home runs and drove in 5 as the Pirates topped the Phillies. Oshima's 3-run shot in the 7th (his 12th) gave Pittsburgh a 6-3 lead.

D. L. Hall pitched 8 shutout innings before tiring in the 9th and allowing a run to score. Heston Kjerstad and Alec Burleson homered for the Buccos.

Mike Clevinger was dominant, pitching 5 shutout innings before leaving the game with an injury. Masayoshi Oshima drove in 3 runs and hit his 13th home run before also leaving the game after feeling some pain after throwing the ball.

The Cubs snapped Pittsburgh's 5-game winning streak in a wild game at PNC Park. Quinn Priester was ineffective as Chicago built an 11-4 lead, but the Pirates scored twice in the 6th and 5 times in the 7th on a 2-run home run by Heston Kjerstad (#8) and a 3-run shot by Gabriel Arias (#6), making it a 12-11 game. Pittsburgh could not score again.

Heliot Ramos finally hit, going 3-4 with a home run, to lead the Pirates to a series-winning win. Seth Beer's 3-run home run in the 3rd inning (#8) was the biggest hit of the game.
