I think the only way - and by the way this would be an AWESOME function if you could just set two specific seasons or two or more for random debut so to speak - but anyway:

You set up your league, say, in 1947 or in 1977, whichever. Then, you go to League Settings at the top of the screen, then to "Edit League Structure". There, you click "Add historical team" then "historical database".

At that point you get a window. The top has a year listed. Change the year to 1977 if playing already in 1947, or vice-versa. Then under "please select team" click one at a time the teams from 1977 (or 1947) you want to your league.

Now, you can either eliminate - still in "Edit League Structure" - the teams from the original year you don't want - which I think dumps them into a free agent list - or, if you want all the teams from both league you may want to add a division or a league, up to you.

Now, if you are still in the preseason - if you want you can go back to League Settings and click "Schedule a Fantasy Draft" IF you want to have a draft with all the 1947 and 1977 players, and did not want to play the on their original teams. Or, if it is after the preseason, you can do the same for only the free agents from the eliminated teams, OR if you don't want them, at the top of the screen go to League Reports and Info - Free Agents. When there, there is an option under "Actions" to delete all free agents.
