Team Home Page - 1901 Season
Boston made a serious run at the top spot, but missed opportunities and a Detroit Tigers team that simply refused to be caught kept the Americans back. Very happy with the pitching staff, as Hahn (10.8 WAR) and Tannehill (6.7 WAR) lived up to the high expectations, Young (6.1 WAR) was a pleasant surprise, and Klobedanz (1.2 WAR) ate up innings. Clarke (6.2 WAR) and Farrell (6.5 WAR) were solid hitters throughout the year, I think Hoffmeister and Donahue have the potential to be something special, and not sure what to make of Chance (-2.49 WPA).
