Game looking blurry or incorrectly scaled?
Nowadays, with various different display resolutions and related OS settings, it can happen that OOTP by default runs in a non-native resolution and looks weirdly blurry or scaled wrong. For this, you can try the following:
PC Windows
1. Locate the OOTP 24 shortcut (or the OOTP24.exe)
2. Right-click it, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab and toggle the setting for high DPI scaling.
3. Start the game.
The same may also work if you do it on your Steam client shortcut in case you use the Steam version of OOTP.
Another possible solution is to set the Windows interface scaling to 100% (or some other setting) prior to starting OOTP:
1. Open Windows Settings
2. Click on System
3. Click on Display
4. Under the "Scale and layout" section, use the drop-down menu and select the scale settings that suit your needs. Options available include 100, 125, 150, and 175 percent.
macOS
1. Go to wherever the app OOTP is located, most likely in the Applications folder.
2. Right-click on the app icon, and select “Get Info” to bring forth the information dialog box for the app.
3. When the Get Info dialog box opens, you should see an option that says “Open in Low Resolution.” What you need to do here is checkmark the box next to the option.
4. Close the Get Info dialog box after you have checked the option.
5. Start the game
