We interrupt World Series coverage to take note of a couple of Durham Bulls who received International League honors:
Chin was up briefly during the season and looked decent, especially in the speed department where he stole 8 bases for us in 12 games to go with the 32 he swiped for Durham. It's a crowded OF on the big club but neither Joshua Mears nor Hudson Head impressed this season so there may very well be an opening as a 4th OF for Chin.
The veteran Luzardo put up a great season but we never needed him in the rotation with the emergence of Bryce Eldridge. We'll see how things shake out and see if we can extend him with the big club as McClanahan and Luis Castillo are set to become free agents so there will be a couple of rotation openings.
