On May 22, we are 20-19. Above .500 but we hoped for better at this point.
We are two and a half games back of the Cubs, and one and one-half behind St. Louis and Pittsburgh.
The big three starters, Seaver, Koosman and Ryan have ERAs well below 3.00, Barr and Alexander ERAs a little over 4.00.
The bullpen has performed well.
Foli and Celerino Sanchez are hitting well over .300. Kranepool .291. But Darwin is at .154 ! Will this platoon work?
Maddox is only hitting .224 and Agee below .200. Staub's .565 (!) makes up for a lot though.
