Cards news: March 18 -- Closer Ryan Helsley could miss three months with strained hamstring
The St. Louis Cardinals have announced that closer Ryan Helsley could miss up to three months with a strained hamstring suffered in a 5-1 win over Atlanta on March 18.
Helsley, 30, had pitched in four games this spring posting no record or saves and a 5.40 ERA.
The right-hander has spent the last three seasons as the team closer.
In 2024, he was 3-6 with 28 saves in 53 games with a 2.21 ERA.
For his career, he is 27-16 with 67 saves in 240 games.
His career ERA is 2.62.
