For one, they should animate them. Not by seeing rain on the field, but there should be some animated indication is happening. For example, switch to the action cam and have the players run off the field. While the field is empty, the play-by-play can indicate how long the rain delay is lasting and when it ends. This animated indication will alert the user that a pitching decision will be forthcoming. Perhaps there should even be a prompt that says, “would you like to keep your starting pitcher, or replace them?”
