Herndon:
High-school kid from Mississippi with excellent offensive potential.
Duron:
18-year-old from Kansas, where apparently the high school teams have poker games in the clubhouse. Bat looks special, glove not so much.
Survance:
Another MS high-schooler, another potential elite bat with an iffy glove. We have our type.
Barahona:
It's not like I set out before the draft and decide to get nothing but high-schoolers who can hit but can't field, but it keeps working out that way.
Chavarria:
Lookie here! A college guy with a glove. And a not half-bad bat, especially from a contact perspective. The Louisville product should have a floor of being a utility IF and a ceiling of a pesky leadoff guy who hits close to .300.
Corniell:
Another college product, the Indiana Hoosier should be a decent hitter who can play an above-average corner OF and CF in a pinch. Looks like a steal in the 5th round.
