Both in general, but also specifically when you have people showing up in both positive and negative fits. For example, if you have 1 great fit and 2 bad fits or a tactic that no one on the line is a positive or negative fit, which would you choose?

The short answer is, pick tactics that show your players as the best fit/least worst fit.
The long answer is, figure out what sort of team you are and how you want to play based on the style you like (I'd highly recommend this thread if you've not read it before -

Are you setting tactics by unit? That's how I tend to do it, much easier to find who blends well with what tactic when you're only having to worry about 5 guys at a time.
