Introduction

Hey y'all. I'll be running the 2022-and-beyond Cleveland Guardians with the hope of turning them into a dynasty per request of a friend. I'll be doing a check-in post every in-game month with the team, with bigger posts summarizing major moves and the trade deadline, and playoff posts going game-by-game. Not a ton else to go over, but here are some important settings.

Meeting the Team

Before I even proceeded with anything, I used the budget I had to replace the scouting director in place with someone more reliable. Preseason predictions for this team have us at 74-88, and while I am fairly high on the starting rotation, the bullpen is lacking in talent outside of Emmanuel Clase and the offense needs more help. The bright side is that our defense is shored up well with Andres Gimenez manning SS and Myles Straw manning CF. This first year will be for the purpose of evaluating where the team needs to go short-term and how I can get better for next year and beyond. Our farm system is ranked 20th, but we have five Top 100 Prospects, which is helpful for seeing which positions we can fill soon already. I'll check back on May 1.
