My lots-of-offdays suggestion above was first half about 100 days, plus about 5 day All Star Break, plus about 98 days for second half. That can be made, it is just so many more offdays than MLB.

Looking to dial back the offdays, I have a couple ideas. Let me know any thoughts you have from this.

Both involve doing the second half the same as above - two 3-game series per week. That is a few more offdays across the half than the average MLB rate. Doing things that way allow to balance the home/away for weekend series - I generally aim to do that so every team gets about the same number of higher attendance weekend games.

For the first half the options are (A) three 2-game series plus one offday per week, which would span 93 days or (B) four 2-game series then an offday, which would span 89 days. With (A) it is probably easier to get the weekend balance, but maybe that could be done well enough with (B).

Let me do a late add of a (C) - five 2-game series then an offday, which would span 87 days and more balanced the slightly more-frequent-than-MLB offdays of the second half by being slightly less-frequent-than-MLB with the offdays.

Having a 4-game All Star Break, those options lead to either 195 days, 191 days, or 189 days for the 164 games.
First of all, let me express my gratitude to you for putting so much thought into it - really appreciate it.

I am cool with any of those options, with - if pressed - my order of preference being C-B-A. But, like I said, absolutely fine with whichever of them you want to do / end up doing. If this means you can swing a 1 April start date, even better as I love the cleanliness of it - if not, it matters little.

Again, thanks so much mate - truly above and beyond.
