Game 1: 7-3 W. WP-G.Rodriguez (10-1, 5 5 3 3 5 8). HR-Santana (11), Viera (4), Luciano (8). Viera's solo shot in the 6th broke a 3-3 tie to send the Rays on to victory. DeLoach had 4 hits and Grayson got the win despite a very busy outing.

Game 2: 8-6 W. WP-Sears (4-0). S-Diaz (15). Starter-Bradley (4 6 3 3 3 3). HR-Santana (12), Franco 2 (14), Luciano (9). Wander went deep twice among his 3 hits, Santana hit a 470-ft mammoth shot to CF and Sears got the win despite allowing a 3-run homer as the Rays won again.

Game 3: 6-7 L. LP-Fairbanks (3-1). Starter-Eldridge (4 6 4 4 2 4). HR-Santana (13), Caminero (16). The Rays fought back from 6-3 down with 2 in the 8th on Caminero's homer and a Wander RBI double with 2 out in the 9th, only for Fairbanks to give up a double, bunt and single to lose it. Santana homered for the third straight game, all to CF.

Game 4: 1-7 L. LP-Orze (3-3, 4 5 3 3 1 4). HR-DeLoach (8). The Rays did not pitch well in this series and today they didn't hit either, with DeLoach's homer leading off the game one of only four hits on the day as they continued their recent habit of winning the first two of a 4-game series then losing the second two.

Team record: 47-28. The Jays got hot again, sweeping 4 from Boston to shave 2 games off the lead and reduce it to 4 1/2. Next up: Back home for 3 vs the 30-45 Reds.
