I don't believe that Ken Hunt was ever on the Braves' active spring training roster. I see that the 26-Feb-1966 issue of The Sporting News, printed shortly before the opening of spring training, lists Hunt with the Braves, as shown in your post, but outfielder
Ken L. Hunt opened spring training with the Cubs, as reported in the 12-Mar-1966 issue of the same:
"A total of 44 players, 38 off the regular roster and six minor league farmhands reported for the opening of training on February 28. The farmhands were catchers Johnny Dudek and Don Bryant, pitchers Len Church and Billy Connors, infielder Paul Popovich and outfielder Ken Hunt, the ex-Angel trying out on a look-see basis."
The Cubs must have liked what they saw, because at or near the conclusion of spring training, they worked out a deal with the Senators, who still owned Hunt's contract.
All that said, pitcher
Ken R. Hunt was a free agent at the outset of spring training 1966. The day after The Sporting News listed Hunt with the Braves, Ken R. Hunt's hometown paper, The Ogden Examiner, reported that he "will not report to play organized baseball this spring."
It's entirely possible that either of the Ken Hunts may have been offered a spot on the Braves' spring training roster, but neither of them reported to Braves camp.
