June 23-25, 2028: vs Cincinnati (3)
Game 1: 6-2 W. WP-Swanda (7-5, 7 6 2 2 0 3). HR-Caminero (17). The return of the first-inning, 3-run homer from Caminero and a strong outing from Swanda led the Rays to victory. Luciano knocked in a pair as well.
Game 2: 9-0 W. WP-G.Rodriguez (11-1, 6 4 0 0 0 11). HR-DeLoach (9), Franco (15), Viera (5), Santana (14). Tampa Bay blasted former Rays starter Shane Baz for 8 runs on 11 hits including 3 homers and current Rays starter Grayson Rodriguez was almost untouchable as his Cy Young-caliber season rolls on. DeLoach and Viera each had 3 hits.
Game 3: 0-2 L. LP-Bradley (1-1, 5 7 2 2 0 8). This time the Rays were done in by a former Tampa Bay player as Ian Seymour, selected by Cincinnati in the Rule 5 draft last year, shut them out for 7 1/3 and is now 9-4, 3.34 for the Reds as they managed only four hits in total.
Team record: 49-29. Unfortunately the Jays remain insanely hot, sweeping their series and winning on our Monday off-day to trim the division lead to 3 games as they now have an 8-game winning streak. Next up: That day off is to travel coast-to-coast to go play 3 against the Dodgers.
MLB News: Houston's Marcus Semien hit his 300th career homer.
