I created the Mills 50 logo first and decided it deserved a major city since that one took me an entire evening to create. The Mills 50 neighborhood is an alternative downtown with a lot of great bars, restaurants, and a couple of music venues. While Orlando has a "Little Saigon" neighborhood, it has been absorbed by the Mills 50 moniker. The first versions of this were trying to pay homage to the various ideas of this neighborhood but it never felt quite right so I went with a kind of beer label look.
I'm not sure why the Lake Underhill logo ended up so 1980s, but I went with it.
I'm enjoying the neighborhoods project and might consider doing some more in a different city. I've spent a lot of time in cities like Atlanta, Portland, Detroit, and Raleigh-Durham so that could be fun? Part of what I've enjoyed with this cities project (I think I'm well over 450 different cities now) is the chance to do a little research into the unique places across the U.S.
