Final 2033 Regular Season Standings and Rays Stats

How the year shook out:

Oakland's Jeremy Begley had quite the impressive season. In addition to winning the batting average crown, he had a ZR of +26.8 (!) at SS, hence the astounding 9.6 WAR.

Broken record time: great hitting, great pitching, lousy defense. We added lousy baserunning to the mix but that too didn't matter. The bottom line was a healthy +292 run differential.

It's easy to imagine this team winning 120+ games had stars like Gutierrez, Franco, Carlow and Tosado not missed a month or more of action as well and perhaps Arroyave had been called up sooner. It looks as though we'll have the whole gang healthy for the ALDS except Gutierrez who should be back if we make the ALCS.

With the exception of Brooks in his limited innings and perhaps Panzini, pretty much everyone pitched well, and the ones with the higher ERAs had them as a result of suffering higher BABIPs.

We have some interesting prospects, and Stack is more than MLB-ready, it'll just be a matter of finding a place for him on the roster or in the lineup. Jimmy Powell can also hit in the bigs now, but is really only a DH. Berumen looks like a superstar in the making and Leo Gutierrez could be an ace but they'll need at least another season in the minors.
