While rumors are circulating that this might be Bill Hassamaer's final season of baseball, he sure hasn't allowed it to affect his play. Case in point, Hassamaer led his St. Louis Browns team to a 6 to 2 victory over the Chicago White Sox by going 5 for 7 (4 Singles, Double, 2 RBIs) in the win. This outstanding game raised his batting average to .383 on the season.
